  • Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s goal against West Ham in October was his 50th Premier League goal – only the fourth Everton player to reach the landmark (after Duncan Ferguson, Tim Cahill and Romelu Lukaku).
  • Ashley Young’s goal against Burnley in the League Cup in November made him Everton’s second-oldest ever goalscorer (38y 115d) – behind Wally Fielding (38y 305d).
  • Ashley Young’s own goal against Brighton in November made him the second-oldest Everton player to score an own goal (38y 119d) – behind Ted Taylor (40y 69d).
  • Idrissa Gueye’s winning goal against Crystal Palace in November was the first time an Everton substitute scored the winning goal in a Premier League game since Oumar Niasse against Bournemouth in September 2017.
  • Lewis Dobbin’s goal against Chelsea in December made him the highest-numbered player to score a goal for Everton (61).
  • Everton won 4 consecutive league games without conceding a goal in December – the first time they have done so since November 2002.
  • Everton won 4 consecutive away league games between November and December – the first time they have done so since December 2020 to February 2021 and the first time they have done so in front of fans since November-December 1985.

  • Everton’s defeat to Manchester City in December was their 8 consecutive home defeat to them – their longest ever losing streak at home to a single opponent.
  • Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s red card against Crystal Palace in the FA Cup in January was the first time an Everton player was shown a straight red card in the FA Cup since Barry Horne against Bolton in January 1994.
    • The red card was rescinded, making Calvert-Lewin only the third Everton player to have his red card rescinded (after Jack Rodwell against Liverpool in October 2011 and Darron Gibson against West Ham in December 2012).
  • Everton’s 0-0 draw against Aston Villa was Seamus Coleman’s 355th Premier League appearance for the Blues, breaking the record for most Premier League appearances for Everton.
  • Andre Gomes’ goal against Crystal Palace in the FA Cup replay in January was the first time an Everton player scored directly from a free-kick since Lucas Digne against Lincoln in August 2019.
  • Everton gave away 2 penalties against Manchester United in March – the first time they have done so since against Manchester City in October 2016 and the first time they have done so in the first half since against West Ham in September 1995.

  • Sean Dyche was the fourth Everton manager to win his first Goodison derby (after Dick Molyneux in 1894, Will Cuff in 1902 and Joe Royle in 1994).
