  • Andy King (West Bromwich Albion) – Everton and West Bromwich Albion agreed an exchange deal where Everton received Andy King and West Bromwich Albion received Peter Eastoe. Peter Eastoe joined West Bromwich Albion two days after Andy King joined Everton because of a delayed medical.
  • Kevin Sheedy (Liverpool) – Kevin Sheedy had agreed to join Everton from Liverpool at the end of May 1982 however the transfer was not completed until Everton were able to register him following a rigmarole between the two clubs about the fee for the player. A tribunal on 5th August 1982 ruled that Liverpool were to pay Everton £100,000.
  • David Johnson (Liverpool) – Everton registered David Johnson as a player on 9th August 1982 however because of a medical, the transfer wasn't completed until two days later.
  • Glenn Keeley (Blackburn Rovers) – Blackburn Rovers recalled Glenn Keeley in December 1982 after Everton allowed him to end his loan early.

  • Peter Eastoe (West Bromwich Albion) – Everton and West Bromwich Albion agreed an exchange deal where Everton received Andy King and West Bromwich Albion received Peter Eastoe. Peter Eastoe joined West Bromwich Albion two days after Andy King joined Everton because of a delayed medical.
  • Mike Walsh (Burnley) – Burnley sent Mike Walsh back to Everton in January 1983 after he refused to play in Burnley's FA Cup match against Carlisle United.
  • Neville Southall (Port Vale) – Everton temporarily recalled Neville Southall so that he can play for the Blues in a 6-a-side tournament in Solihull due to other goalkeepers being unavailable. He was allowed to rejoin and re-register with Port Vale two days later.
